For years going through school, and a little bit to this day, I always wanted to be an architect. Loved it but just couldn't think of any ideas. So when I see a particularly great place it makes me rethink why I didn't keep going. Anyway, this place in Barcelona is fantastic. It was a disused cement factory turned into a home and offices for the architect. www.ricardobofill.com.

I am a big sucker for art that is simple and beautiful, conversely I like the total opposite but that is ok too. Japanese artist/designer Tokujin Yoshioka has some of the simple yet beautiful qualities in his work. I love the snow piece but all round his work is quite extraordinary. www.tokujin.com and www.aestheticsofjoy.com.

Both the Blacktown and Robertson shows are on this weekend. I am so looking forward to the Robertson show in particular as it has a Demolition Derby. It also has the usual great country show items as well.
